Gricel - My Work Experience!
When my tutor first told me that I'd be working in an office for
my work experience, I was apprehensive… I didn't know what to
expect! Now, after 2 weeks interning at Impact, I've come to
understand and love this environment!
During these past two weeks, I've been assisting the Office
Manager with the Social Media Marketing; overlooking the Twitter
and Facebook accounts, while creating and downloading my written
content for the company's blog! Alongside this, I've been working
closely with each division here at Impact, especially temporary - I
loved how fast-paced this specific sector was! Additionally, I was
also shown; how to write effective blogging material;
answering and screening calls; inputting candidate data
into excel; timesheet management; database navigating; as well as
completing research into clients and following potential leads!
Because of everyone's help and guidance, I've learnt how to
create a good CV; improved my time-keeping/ organisation skills;
and developed interviewing techniques (all of which I observed
while shadowing teams and candidate interviews). These skills will
prove extremely useful for me in the future!
All in all, my time at Impact has been interesting, fun and very
helpful! I've learnt how to conduct myself in an office
environment, and improved my communication skills! From the very
start, everyone was so welcoming and friendly; I was made to feel
like I was a part of the team, an 'Impactee'!
