BACK TO NEWS & EVENTS

Where do I start when looking back over another fun, eventful and successful year here at Impact? We’ve had so many highlights I thought it would be fun to take a couple of minutes to remember my top 5

Inaugural Founders Day:
This was a fun one! In October we held our first ever “Founders Day” where we came together as a business and took some time to reflect on how far we have come since our beginnings in 2001 and discussed our future growth plans and the role we as ‘Impactees’ will play in getting us there.

We have always been a firm believer that our USP is, has and will always be our people and this was truly celebrated. The day entailed breakfast delivered to the office, a table quiz, lunch in Shoreditch, a presentation by our founders and then onto swingers golf for games and partying. A highlight of the year for sure!

Sam’s Promotion:
In August, Sam Stock was promoted to Divisional Director for Temp Division which was well deserved recognition for the contribution he has made over the past 10 years in the business. Sam has always been one of the most popular and widely respected members of staff so this announcement was universally celebrated. This was also an exciting step for Impact as a whole too as he became the first Director within the business.

Amanda Manning joined:
Amanda joined in August to Head up our HR Division allowing Jules to move fully into a strategic role. Anyone who has had the pleasure of engaging with her before will know what a coup this was for the business. Amanda has arrived with more than 10 years HR recruitment experience from the media and creative industries and it’s unsurprising that she’s already made a huge impression here.

Summer Party – Henley Regatta:
We kicked off the summer in style in July with a day at the Henley Regatta. This was the time for us to let our hair down and enjoy a couple cheeky drinks by the Thames. We didn’t need telling twice! After a few amazing hours enjoying the sun and each other’s company, it was time to dance the night away in the amazing China White tent. Let’s just say it was a late one that night!

Heart of the City Award:
We were immensely proud to receive the ‘Heart of the City’ Award at the Lord Mayor’s 30th Dragon Awards Ceremony in September for our project ‘Future Proofing Talent through Diversity’. We developed this to assist in the diversification of the media and creative industries’ workforces.

We have long recognised that our own and our clients businesses should better reflect the communities in which we operate – hence creating this project whereby we facilitate a gateway between young people and our clients in the form of school visits and inspiring client hosted workshops. Being recognised for our contribution was incredibly humbling and will push us on in our ambition to be the driving force behind an industry shift in tackling diversity.

I could have mentioned so much more, but I’ll leave it there. 2017 you’ve been incredible and here’s to a great 2018!
