As we approach the beginning of Spring, we are reflecting on the ‘Future Proofing Talent through Diversity’ events that Impact have been hosting.

We are passionate advocates for Inclusivity within the media and creative landscape and have created opportunities for our clients to network with their peers and discuss important and key topics.  Bringing insights from talented individuals, these sessions have provided beneficial content and take away thoughts for everyone to take back into their organisation.

Our recent HR and talent groups have discussed Neurodiversity when we heard from Jennie Childs, Interim Director of Talent, Group M and Roxy Hobbs at The Hobbs consultancy; where both shared their insight into making sure Neurodiversity is on everyone’s agenda

We were joined by Noa Burger, a specialist trainer in Workplace Wellbeing and Mental Health for a session discussing how mental health is affecting the workplace, the importance of raising awareness and we shared practical insights and tips on what else can be done to improve mental health at work.

Our most recent session looked at how to attract a more diverse talent pool, more specifically BAME and we were joined by Sandra Kerr OBE, Race Equality Director, Business in the Community.  We explored ways of recruiting diverse talents (by race) and the challenges in retaining BAME talent.

In April, we are joined by Liz Nottingham, Executive HR Director, R/GA in hosting a session for senior industry EAs on Managing Millennials and increasing your internal profile.

We are currently planning an event on Women in Tech for Q2 and will be sharing details in the coming weeks.  For those keen to get involved as contributors we’d love to hear from you.
