Head of Social / Social Media Director

We are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing creative tech company who create immersive digital experiences, innovative campaigns, and culturally relevant content for forward-thinking brands worldwide.
As they scale, they need a visionary Head of Social / Social Media Director to lead their social media function, elevate their brand presence, and inspire a high-performing team. This is a senior leadership role for a strategic thinker who lives and breathes social, understands evolving digital ecosystems, and drives creative innovation at scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and execute the overarching social media strategy aligned with business goals and brand vision.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of social media managers, content creators, and community specialists.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, design, PR, and analytics teams to create integrated social campaigns.
  • Own the social calendar, ensuring content aligns with product launches, events, and cultural moments that resonate with target audiences.
  • Pioneer innovation by testing emerging platforms, tools, and formats to keep us ahead of trends.
  • Oversee paid social media strategy and budget allocation in partnership with media teams.
  • Use data and analytics to set benchmarks, measure ROI, and optimise performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers, creators, and brand ambassadors.
  • Serve as the social media thought leader within the company, educating executives and stakeholders on best practices and emerging opportunities.

Who You Are
  • 8+ years of social media experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally in creative, tech, or agency settings.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for creative innovation and storytelling.
  • Proven experience managing and scaling social teams.
  • Deep knowledge of platform algorithms, social trends, and audience behaviour across major social channels.
  • Strong understanding of paid social media and how it integrates with organic strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to C-suite and collaborating with senior leaders.
  • Data-driven with a knack for turning insights into action.
