What do you love most about your job?

As weird as it sounds I like organising people/things/events. So getting to organise some and tell them what they are doing is something I actually get a kick out of (my friends don’t get it either).

What are the three things you couldn’t do your job without?

Even in this high tech world I’m a pen and paper type gal so highlighters (to colour code),

My things to do today book (I love that book)

My ical on my phone is my life (I know I know going against the what I just said about technology)

What do you think makes a good PA?

Have a friendly approachable nature and a good sense of humour (otherwise you could go mad).

What’s in your handbag right now?

Oh wow, too much… ok in my handbag right now is

To do lists

What’s your lunch time routine?

I take lunch every day at one if I can and have lunch with some lovely ladies generally we head to the café across the road and I’m rather partial to a bacon sandwich and cheese with a cup of tea (the café know my order now), and we shoot the breeze about life, work and everything in between.

Who has been your greatest influence?

Oh gosh this always ends up sounding cheesy, I’ll say my mum, she’ll like that.

What do you do after a stressful day?

Nothing kicks the stressful day away that a nice glass of wine (or if things have been really bad cider) and hanging out with my friends being stupid.

What are your tips for being a top PA?

No job is too small or beneath you, never let things get you down. Sometimes you’ll be put under a lot of stress and people forget that, but people skills are important as everyone wants to feel like they are the top of your list. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and say when you’re having difficulty getting a job done and need help, have a good clear to do list (colour coded of course) and a good sense of humour and you’ll make it through even the worst of days.
