Our Principle Talent Partner, Carly David, shared her top tips on how businesses can keep things moving without losing quality:
1️⃣ Make sure sign off is there!
Sounds so simple but we have on numerous occasions got to offer, and then had to wait for sign off from the FD. That then adds a delay to the start date and nervous candidates.
2️⃣ Make processes slick.
Know the interview process, stick to it. Dont add in extra people last minute. Or dont start hiring a week before key stakeholders are on their summer holiday for 3 weeks. Plan a timelines and stick to it as much as possible.
3️⃣ Ensure onboarding is smooth. Once the offer has been made, this can be make or break for a candidate that is in numerous processes. Make sure the onboarding is quick and efficient. Ensure communication is clear and friendly. Have a proper onboarding and induction process – its invaluable!
💡 The takeaway? Bottlenecks are avoidable with planning, alignment, and communication. The smoother your process, the stronger your hires.
