We are delighted to announce that Impact has officially become a Certified B Corporation!

This prestigious certification is a testament to our 20-year commitment to positively impacting our community, environment, and society. Over the years, our dedication to supporting youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds has earned us award recognition, and now, this further validates our mission-driven approach to business.

Becoming a B Corp means that Impact is now part of a global movement of companies using business as a force for good. The certification process is rigorous, assessing a company’s entire operations across five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. To achieve B Corp status, companies must score at least 80 points on the B Impact Assessment and provide solid evidence of responsible practices in areas such as energy efficiency, waste management, water usage, worker compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency. A business must legally embed its commitment to purpose, alongside profit, into its company articles.

Though the journey to certification was challenging, the Impact team found it to be an inspiring and invigorating experience. We are proud to join the ranks of over 8,000 businesses globally that have achieved B Corp certification. In the UK alone, the B Corp community is thriving, with more than 1,700 companies across various industries and sizes, including renowned names like The Guardian, Innocent Drinks, Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely, The Big Issue, Finisterre, Elemis, and Sipsmith Gin.

Chris Turner, Executive Director of B Lab UK, shares our excitement:

“We are delighted to welcome Impact to the B Corp community. This is a movement of companies that are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good. We know that Impact is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward.”

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Andy Hawkins at Business on Purpose for his invaluable support throughout this process. His expert B Corp guidance was a huge plus through the journey to certification.
