Earlier this week we received the exciting news that Impact has been shortlisted for the Lord Mayor’s Heart of the City Awards. This is a highly prestigious award given to companies who lead the way in community engagement in London. As one of the Co-Founders of Impact I have to say that I am both incredibly proud and excited in equal measures.
Over the last couple of years, we have actively driven our ‘Future Proofing Talent through Diversity’ programme and have worked with charity partners, schools and our clients to educate and inspire school children from diverse and underprivileged sections of society towards careers in the media and creative sectors. Not only is this hugely beneficial to the children who were previously unaware of the potential careers within these famous and hugely creative companies, but it also opens up talent channels for our clients to reach sections of society previously untapped. Our programme not only supports our long term aim to expand diversity within the industry but also to enhance it with new and amazing talent.
A big thanks to Warner Music, Dentsu Aegis, UBM and Mediacom who have got involved through various means, including internships spots and also hosting 2 hour workshop for children from a number of Hackney based schools; all of which have been both inspiring and well received!
If you would like to get your company involved please get in touch with me at nick.evans@impact-london.com and I would be delighted to tell you all about it!
